How is the score calculated ?

Don't stake on a validator because it has a high Power Ranking or because it has 0% fee. It will be a mistake. There are other important criteria's. A validator gets a high score because it has :

High Minimum Self Delegation
From the Cosmos FAQ :
Minimum amount of CRO the validator candidate need to have bonded at all time. If the validator's self-bonded stake falls below this limit, their entire staking pool (i.e. all its delegators) will unbond. This parameter exists as a safeguard for delegators. Indeed, when a validator misbehaves, part of their total stake gets slashed. This included the validator's self-delegateds stake as well as their delegators' stake. Thus, a validator with a high amount of self-delegated CROs has more skin-in-the-game than a validator with a low amount. The minimum self-bond amount parameter guarantees to delegators that a validator will never fall below a certain amount of self-bonded stake, thereby ensuring a minimum level of skin-in-the-game. This parameter can only be increased by the validator operator.

Low Missed Blocks
When a validator missed blocks, it doesn't get rewards. If a validator missed 50% blocks it get jailed for 24h and doesn't get rewarded. You should avoid validators with too many missing blocks.

Low Power Percentage
Better score with power percentage < 1%
Malus for validator with power percentage > 1%
Decentralization is important. 10 validators can't have 90% of the power. There are 100 active validators. So in a perfect decentralized chain, all validators should have 1% power each.
